National Brain Research Centre Scholarship, NBRC Scholarships Information
National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) is premier institute whose objective is to pursue research in frontier areas of neuroscience and to understand brain function in health and diseases. Research areas include Development Neuroscience, Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience, Systems and Cognitive Neuroscience, Computational and Theoretical Neuroscience, Details about research activities are available at National Brain research center official Website www.nbrc.ac.in. Candidates selected for Ph.D. in Neuroscience, M.Sc., in Neuroscience, Post Doctoral Fellowships are eligible for scholarships.
Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in any branch of science or in any subject related to the general area of Neuroscience including Psychology. Introduction
Eligibility to join Ph.D. in Neuroscience: Masters degree in any branch of science related to the general area of Neurosciences / Brain Research with consistent good academic record. Candidates from diverse backgrounds that include, but not limited to, various disciplines of Biological Sciences, Physical , Mathematical, Computer Sciences & Psychology will be considered or M.B.B.S. / B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech/ M.Pharma or equivalent with consistent good academic record.
Candidates who are awaiting results of the final year examinations are eligible to apply. And the candidates who have already qualified CSIR/ UGC/ GATE/ ICMR examinations are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility to join M.Sc., in Neuroscience (10 seats): Bachelor's degree in any branch of science or in any subject related to the general area of Neuroscience including Psychology or M.B.B.S. / B.E. / B.Tech. degree with consistent good academic record.
PhD course work will be waived for NBRC M.Sc., (Neuroscience) graduates who join the PhD Programme.
Eligibility needed to join Post Doctoral Fellowships: A PhD degree in any branch of science or in any subject related to the general area of Neuroscience including Psychology.
Application Procedure: Application forms and Information Brochure are available with the Registrar and can be collected in person or obtained through post by sending a demand draft of Rs.50/- in favour of Director, NBRC, and Payable at Manesar/Gurgaon (non-refundable). Application forms can be downloaded from the NBRC website www.nbrc.ac.in .Completed application forms along with the photocopies of all qualification / experience certificates, two recent signed passport size photographs (one affixed ) and Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of Director, NBRC payable at Manesar ( non-refundable) may be forwarded to the Registrar, National Brain Research Centre , NH - 8, Manesar, 122050
Short listed candidates will be required to appear for an interview. Train fare for second class sleeper from the nearest railway station will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview on production of tickets. Selection of short listed candidates will be based on performance in the interview. Decision of the screening / selection committee will be final and no correspondence will be entertained.
Scholarship Rates: PhD candidate gets Rs. 8,000 consolidated per month
- M.Sc Candidate gets Rs. 1,000 consolidated per month
- Post Doctoral Fellowships - Rs. 10,500 consolidated per month
